a rather well run highschool for the students who are of the human race. here, 'supernatural awareness' has become its own subject, and drills are put into practice weekly as apart of war. otherwise, the students here live their daily lives as normal, boarding being an option too. most are fairly unaware of the dangers lurking on the horizon and the horrific acts their own kind are placing on the innocent. they live a sheltered life, for now.
while the war has changed a lot of aspects of daily life, some things remain the same. down town new york city, full of shops, night clubs (although many of them have shut down), quaint little cafes and really, just places for the average human to socialise, and get away from the worries war places upon them. apart from the propaganda posters sticky-taped across many of the windows, this is one of the places that have remained generally the same.
peaceful little suburbia, the houses lined on either side of the road, the happy little housewives walking their labrador down the perfectly white pavement, with the trimmed trees at even intervals. and of course, the federal cop cars on the look out for any suspicious behavior. all the time. try not to be out after nightfall, they'll descend on you like vultures. you'll find many of the people you're friends with live in these run of the mill areas, take a look and see who.
however much the toll of war has affected nyc, it is clear that central park has still remained modern untouched. while the signs of squabbles and skirmishes show as scratch marks on trees, gouges out of the earth and the occaisional broken pavement. but otherwise, it still holds its beauty, and by day it is still visited by quite a number of humans, wishing to be free of the troubles of war. don't dare think about coming here at night though. with supernatural's pushed out of home, and on the run, god knows what could happen.
this is the hellhole where the supernatural are sent to await death. the walls are strengthened to an unfathomable measure, windowless, and lined with enough electricity to kill fifteen humans straight. there is no comfort here, nothing to remind its inhabitants of the secret freedom they once had. next to no food, sleeping on concrete floors in small, crowded cells. this is not a place for withholding, it is a place to die.
This war is worldwide, so therefore there must be a board for the rest of the great wide world. Anywhere you can think of that is reachable: Australia, Germany, Hawaii, heck, even the moon if you really want to. Its completely open.
the outskirts of the city, where supernaturals have fled and civlization has turned to rubble. buildings are empty of all humans, crumbling away to dust from the war that has raged here for too long. the ruins stretch on for miles, sometimes turning into flat desert. here, is where the resistance lies in a hidden location. however destroyed things here are, this is a sanctuary for those born with magic in their viens. it is one of the few places left in the world where the supernatural are not being murdered day in, day out, and where they, one day soon, will fight to take back whats theirs - freedom.

Summer, 2028. Blistering hot (and you thought global warming wasn't real.)
There's a prickle in the air as the heatwave continues in New York. Public pools are packed, and airconditions are on full time. Just think, when winter's chill rolls round, you'll miss this.
